use the REST client with the GET
method. The LPAR name is the
same, but the port is 9446 (HTTPS
port for z/OS Connect Enterprise
Edition) is different from DB2M's
TCP/IP port 1446. Header isn't
filled in with JSON, nor the BODY
filled out as these are all known
fields in z/OS Explorer.
Different ways exist to invoke
an API; one way is by using the
REST client. One method is GET.
Reassigned from the Db2 POST,
the port is for z/OS Connect
Enterprise Edition, the application in this case is user05nativerestsp, passing parameter
C01 down through path deptNo.
There's no information in the
body section. This was all specified in the API Editor in z/OS
Explorer.
z/OS Explorer has a feature
built into the API allowing you to
run tests.
Once the API has been successfully deployed, you can optionally
publish it for your use as well as
others using IBM Cloud (formally
known as IBM Bluemix*).

IBM Data Virtualization Manager is a tool recently available
provides a simplified approach to
REST. Data Virtualization Manager provides a variety of functions for REST and non-REST. SAR
creation is simplified, and Db2
REST calls can have a federated
approach joining data from other
data sources.
Mobile has exploded with data,
and Db2 for z/OS has risen to
meet the challenge. Many clients
have chosen Db2 for their mobile
applications for the variety of
excellent benefits offered. RAS,
performance, simplicity of use,
functionality-Db2 is how you
spell mobile.
Next time you use your mobile
device, the app you're running
may just well be using Db2.
