Dashboard News to use Charging Ahead Before electric vehicle sales can take off, auto companies must address the roadblocks revealed in a 2010 IBM study: performance, recharging and convenience. The IBM Institute for Business Value surveyed 1,700 U.S. drivers and interviewed more than 100 auto industry executives. Only 19 percent of drivers said they would consider purchasing an electric-only vehicle when shopping for a new car.
